Well here we are again. Just got back from Louisiana. Been doing a little hunting since last Thursday. On Saturday afternoon I got myself a great big old buck deer!!! He is a 10 pointer and weighed in on the hoof at somewhere around 240-250lbs!!! We had to guess at the real weight because the scales we were using only went to 230lbs and he had the scales maxed out! By far the biggest deer I have ever shot in 38 years of chasing whitetail deer! This buck makes those Texas jackrabbit deer look tiny!!!! What a buck!!!! I have to admit that I did not take him with any skills but was just in the right place at the right time and Lady Luck smiled on me!!! A deer like this sure fuels my addiction to deer hunting.
